anyone know a good place in toronto (or online in canada) to get perfect-fit rims and r-compound tires for an e30? required specs:

* 15x7
* center bore: 57.1mm (hubcentric)
* lug pattern: 4x100.
* offset: 15-25mm

min weight: 13 lbs. must be perfect fit (no spacers or rings).

examples of r-compound tires: toyo r888, nitto nt-01

i've seen sites that sell team dynamics, d-force, and kosei k1 in perfect fit sizes, but none of them seem to be available in canada.

thanks,

colin

Hey Colin, well, you've hit the nail in the head with your wheel and tire combos.  However, I do not recommend the Nitto's as Rudy used them last year, and I was not impressed at all.  They seemed to grip fine at first, but as heat built in they got squirmy and they definitely DO NOT las as long as RA1's did.  The R888 seem to be the best bang for the buck right now.  As far as buying local, you're better off with Tire Rack and getting them shipped, even with Brokerage and duties they are significantly cheaper than anything found locally.

John

P.S. what happened this weekend, i thought you were coming to Shannonville.  You missed a great weekend.  I hope everything is all right !

www.wheels-direct.com is selling 4 r888s mounted for $880, but they don't have any perfect-fit e30 rims.

tire rack doesn't sell r888s (or anything by toyo).

re: shannonville...had some technical difficulties. : (  but i'll be at calabogie july 16-18, and mosport in sept.

Colin,

I think Team Dynamics and for sure the Koseis are not direct fit, aka rings. The newer style K1s that Tirerack sells are high offset, and they supply spacers, so even less what you are after. D force may be direct fit, as is a rim made by TRM (IIRC, google it to double check) but I have no direct experience with either.

One other wheel that is direct fit is the Rota Slipstream. A few years ago, a direct fit rim was made in 15x8, and 16x8 sizes, both Et 20. Not sure what the prices on those are lately.
